Mottarone is a mountain located between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta in the Pennine Alps in Piedmont. At 1,492 metres high, it offers an extraordinary panoramic view from the Alps to the Po Valley, including seven lakes visible on clear days. 

Mottarone is a popular destination in both summer and winter: in summer it is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and outdoor picnics, while in winter it becomes a small paradise for skiers thanks to its slopes suitable for all ages and skill levels. Mottarone is also known for the nearby Stresa-Alpino-Mottarone cable car, which allows visitors to reach the summit while enjoying spectacular panoramic views en route.
