Winter Waves Gathering

09.03.2026 – 15.03.2026

Join us for a week of open training, jamming, sessioning, exchanges and more, all focused on the Waving dance style.

The training space will be open all day for those who like to push it hardcore, and all the common spaces around the property will be available for chats, hangouts and socialising for those who prefer to chill.

Our intention with this week is simply to gather together a group of people who love to wave. Having hosted the Waves Within European Qualifier twice at Katapult in Berlin, and the Kittridge Waves crew for a week of residency here at Robin’s Nest, we have found the waving community to be full of friendly, enthusiastic, interesting and creative people. In this week, we are offering our location for a cosy holiday and a place to meet interesting people.

What happens during the week will be fully up to those who attend. However, we do have a few plans/suggestions:
Movie Night with fireplace (maybe even two, with one night watching an actual movie and one night watching waving battles)
Morning Qigong with Oli
Jam Sessions with live DJ
Night Sessions with live visuals, projections and maybe even some interactive installations

FAQs

Is this week just for waving dance style?

Not at all – we provide training space, beds, access to cooking facilities and general organisation. What happens during the week is up to those who attend. Our backgrounds in the team at the venue include circus/juggling, contemporary dance, partnering, high heels, martial arts, fusion belly dance, acroyoga and more… We’re hoping everyone will be looking to bring what they have and share with those around them.

Can I bring a friend/partner who isn’t a dancer?

Of course! We have a set number of beds, but if a friend or a partner wants to join just to have a relaxing holiday surrounded by nice people, that’s totally great. If you do come with a partner or a friend, make sure to let us know while booking, so we can organise rooms accordingly.

Do I have to be a high-level waving dancer?

Absolutely not. Once again, it’s totally up to you what you do here. We’re just starting the advertising within the waving scene because in general we have found the community to be super supportive and friendly, low-ego and enthusiastic, and that’s the kind of vibe we wish to nurture.

How do I get there?

Check out our Find Us page for more information. If you are flying, make sure to fly to Milano Malpensa (MXP) (which is very close to us) and NOT to Milano Bergamo (BGY) or Milano Linate (LIN) (which are far away!). Feel free to contact us with any questions.
